Chicago's 37th Annual Speed & Action Horse Show
For those who have ever wanted to experience a rodeo in Chicago, the opportunity is closer than they might think.
Broken Arrow Horseback Riding Club has built something meaningful within the Windy City.
Their signature event, the Speed and Action Show, showcases local riders demonstrating their horsemanship skills while giving the public a glimpse into Chicago’s often-overlooked cowboy history.
Attendees have several ways to enjoy the experience. They can sit in the bleachers, stand along the rail, or turn the outing into a picnic with family and friends. More than just a show, it is an opportunity to support a deeply rooted community tradition.
Broken Arrow Horseback Riding Club is sustained by the community and depends on collective support. There are multiple ways individuals and organizations can contribute, including direct donations, purchasing official merchandise, or becoming a branded sponsor. More information is available at BrokenArrowRidingClub.com.
Visitors are invited to come to the South Side and witness a living tradition.

Held on Father’s Day at the South Shore Cultural Center, the event is led by Murdock—known simply as the cowboy with no last name—alongside Linda Lane. Together, they have preserved these traditions and passed them down through generations by actively teaching Chicago’s youth through a variety of programs and events.
